Duesseldorf, Germany, 23 October 2012: GGC and SVA Fernseh GmbH, Hilden (“SVA”) are joining forces to develop the next generation and intelligent furnace camera systems to
• fast identify problems,
• changes,
• saving potential and
• options to increase productivity.
These camera systems will in particular visualise all type of flow pattern in the combustion atmosphere of any type of glass melting furnace.
The AIF project KF 2579002AB2, basis of the collaboration between SVA and GGC, will be finalised end of 2013.
IEVB, university of Clausthal, is the R&D partner responsible for the mathematical, graphical and flow basic developments.
“Visualisation instead or in combination with CFD will be a significant step to better and faster understand glass melting furnaces. The collaboration with SVA will enable GGC to fast introduce the new system into the market.“, Hans Mahrenholtz, MD of GGC said.
“Furnace camera systems in the future will do more than only displaying flames. A collaboration with GGC enables SVA to access innovative R&D resources.“, Axel Jürgens, MD of SVA added.
